Just as Gideon must have doubted the angel’s declaration that he was a “mighty man of valor”, it can be difficult for men today to recognize how God sees them. Through the transformative power of God, it is possible for any man to become a “mighty man of valor”! Men of Valor actively focuses on training men in the way of Christ to help them become leaders in their church, family and community. Men of Valor activities include weekly Bible devotions, monthly prayer meetings and special events throughout the year!
Lighthouse Ladies is designed to equip, encourage, and empower women to be all that they can be for the Kingdom of God. We want women to know that Jesus loves them, He walks with them, and their lives have great purpose! Lighthouse Ladies has weekly Bible devotions, monthly prayer meetings, and social events throughout the year to help women grow closer to God and to connect with like-minded individuals.
We love St. John’s! Outreach Ministry is how we give back to the community we call home. Outreach Ministry includes partnering with local charity organizations, designated help days in our neighborhoods, and offering services such as home Bible studies. We want to be a blessing to the people of St. John’s!
Beacon Young Adults is designed to bring students and other young adults into contact with Jesus Christ, and to provide opportunities for Christian fellowship and growth. Beacon hosts Bible studies on Memorial University Campus (Tuesdays at 6:30 pm) and coordinates special events throughout the year!
Children’s Ministries incorporates age-appropriate programming for students (18 months through high school graduation) every Sunday and Wednesday service. Our activities include Bible stories, art projects, scripture memorization, games, and fun events to build strong Christian foundations in children’s lives!
